Airfreight Country Manager, MAF

Are you passionate about building business, driving performance, and creating strong customer solutions within Airfreight?

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Airfreight Country Manager to lead and develop our airfreight product in Finland.

As part of the Nordic Air Management Team, you will play a key role in strengthening our market position and ensuring sustainable growth. In this role, you will combine strategic direction with operational excellence and take full ownership of business performance, product development, and local market execution. Working closely with colleagues across functions and stakeholders throughout the organization, you will help shape and grow our airfreight offering.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and develop the airfreight product and business performance within the assigned country/cluster, with full responsibility for P/L, growth, and operational delivery.
• Drive local business development by identifying market opportunities and developing competitive products and solutions that create value for customers.
• Lead commercial activities including pricing, tender management, and performance follow-up to ensure financial targets and KPIs are achieved.
• Manage and develop local supplier partnerships across airlines, hauliers, and terminals to secure strong service delivery and competitiveness.
• Collaborate closely with airfreight colleagues and internal stakeholders across functions to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, compliance standards, and governance requirements.

To be successful in this role, we believe you bring the following:

• Solid experience from the airfreight industry with a strong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
• Proven experience managing business performance, commercial activities, or operational responsibility with a strong customer focus.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
• Experience building relationships and collaborating across internal and external stakeholder groups.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to drive initiatives and deliver results.
• Excellent communication skills and professional proficiency in English; Nordic language skills are considered an advantage.
