Job Synopsis:
The Product Engineer — Support owns the stability and resolution of a product module on the CX1 Platform,
end to end — from incident to root cause to a permanent fix that benefits every customer. This is a support-
first, product-ownership role across the CX1 family (CX1 eCommerce, CX1 Sigma, CX1 PIM, CX1
Showroom, CX1 Essentials). A customer-centric engineer, the Product Engineer is passionate about the
customer experience and relentless about fast, high-quality problem resolution and platform stability. They
are highly accountable, self-motivated, and move with speed and quality — and they understand why every
fix matters, not just what to fix.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor, triage and resolve incidents across the CX1 family within SLA.
Own defect resolution with a root-cause focus so the same issue never ships twice; deliver fast, high-
quality, lasting fixes.
Reproduce, debug and patch issues across Java, SQL, logs, search (Solr) and integrations.
Take end-to-end ownership of a product module — its stability, its customers and its outcomes.
Reach out to customers proactively on issues; communicate clearly, calmly and with empathy.
Contribute fixes and workarounds to the known-error / solutions knowledge base so recurring issues
resolve faster.
Partner with QA to grow automated regression coverage for the modules you own.
Follow source-control, CI/CD and release practices; support deployments and post-release verification.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
3–5 years in product support or software development on a SaaS / eCommerce platform.
Hands-on Java debugging and development on the platform.
Solid SQL across any relational database (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL); able to write
and tune queries.
Experience with search technologies (e.g., Solr) and platform integrations a strong plus.
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and front-end integration.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and containerized/cloud environments (Kubernetes / GCP) a plus.
Exposure to production support / defect resolution and a structured, root-cause approach to problem
solving.
B2B eCommerce, distribution, or PIM domain experience a plus.
Strong customer-centric mindset — focused on fast, high-quality problem resolution — with attention to
detail and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across support and product teams.
Fluent with AI tools and coding assistants (LLM copilots and the team's AI-Ops agents) to triage,
debug, resolve and document faster — productive and efficient with AI in day-to-day support and defect
work.
