JOB SUMMARY
Performs duties related to producing foods and desserts for patients, cafeteria, special events, and contractual agreements. Maintains a high degree of quality and presentation of all food products utilizing safe food handling practices. Performs duties related to maintaining dishes and cooking equipment, including but not limited to; scouring pots and pans, loading and running the automated dish machine, and storing clean dishes and utensils. Performs general cleaning duties according to established cleaning schedule.
Full Time: 80 hours per pay period
Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday-Friday; Weekends as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Licensure/certification: Completion of required modified diets and sanitation courses.
Previous Work Experience: Previous experience working in food preparation preferred.
Skills: Ability to effectively communicate orally in English with people from diverse professional, educational and lifestyle backgrounds. Ability to read and understand/follow written and verbal directions. Basic computer skills required. Ability to remain calm, and cheerful in a potentially fast paced environment.
