POSITION SUMMARY

  • Manage the day-to-day implementation of the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP program across an assigned region of YMCA centers and volunteer stations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned centers and volunteer stations, conducting regular check-ins and providing ongoing guidance, communication, and program support.
  • Lead regional recruitment efforts to identify and engage eligible AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers, supporting progress toward program recruitment and engagement goals.
  • Build relationships with YMCA senior programs, center staff, community organizations, senior centers, and other local partners to expand volunteer recruitment and participation.
  • Regularly engage with senior programming at assigned YMCA centers to share volunteer opportunities and connect older adults with meaningful service opportunities.
  • Support volunteers through enrollment, onboarding, training, placement, and ongoing engagement within their assigned volunteer stations.
  • Provide guidance and support to volunteer station leads to ensure they understand AmeriCorps Seniors expectations, volunteer processes, program activities, and applicable requirements.
  • Coordinate volunteer participation across RSVP service activities, including community outreach, food and nutrition support, referrals, workshops, and other approved program activities.
  • Conduct regular in-person and virtual check-ins with volunteer station leads to monitor recruitment, volunteer participation, program needs, challenges, and progress toward established goals.
  • Support the delivery and coordination of volunteer training, orientation, continued learning opportunities, and program resources.
  • Monitor regional volunteer activity and work with the Project Director and Program Associate to ensure volunteer enrollment, service hours, training, and other required program information are accurately captured.
  • Support data collection, volunteer feedback, and outcomes tracking to help measure program effectiveness and progress toward AmeriCorps Seniors performance measures.
  • Implement communication plans, processes, and program guidance established by the Project Director to ensure consistency across regions and volunteer stations.
  • Identify regional challenges, volunteer needs, and opportunities for program improvement and communicate findings to the Project Director.
  • Grant Funded Position: Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of grant funding, ongoing program needs, and satisfactory job performance. Funding beyond the current grant period is not guaranteed.

  • Volunteerism: Recruits, engages, and supports volunteers while connecting older adults to meaningful service opportunities throughout their assigned region.
  • Collaboration: Works closely with center staff, volunteer station leads, community partners, and the AmeriCorps Seniors team to coordinate successful program implementation.
