Summary:
The Data Governance Team (DGT) within Global Financial Market Operations (GFMO) is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of critical bond and issuer static data. We are seeking a highly motivated Securities Reference Data Control Specialist to join our dynamic team and drive operational excellence through technology enhancements and robust data governance.
Job Description
- Data Maintenance & Management
- Provide comprehensive support for the setup and maintenance of bond & issuer label configuration across core Treasury systems (e.g., SDWT, Murex, Front Arena, CORE).
- Ensure timely creation and maintenance of static data requests within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain accurate bond-related attributes (coupon, maturity, day count, settlement conventions, corporate action events) by bridging data between Bloomberg and custodian sources.
- Conduct root cause analysis for risk items and identify data integrity enhancement opportunities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Governance
- Liaise with Treasury dealers, Relationship Managers, Finance, and other processing teams to resolve bond-related data issues.
- Process Improvement & Innovation
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve Straight-Through Processing (STP) and overall operational efficiency.
- Participate in departmental data transformation initiatives.
- Actively contribute to documenting new and amended processes, ensuring documentation is consistently updated and aligned with Group standards.
- Quality Assurance & Risk Control
- Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for static data requirements.
- Maintain the highest standards of data accuracy, adhering to strict internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Bond settlement, Securities Reference Data Control, or a similar role in a financial institution.
- Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal and custodian system is beneficial
- Expert proficiency in Murex (with knowledge of AXE, MLC, UBIX, FinIQ, and ILMS) is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft365 suites.
