Analyst Business Requirement Testing & Operations - G&E
Summary
This role involves gathering and documenting business requirements, coordinating testing, and ensuring product enhancements meet business needs for IHG's Global Sales & Groups & Events applications.
Role Purpose
Responsible for developing and documenting detailed business requirements and supporting documentation for new initiatives and enhancements to existing functionality in assigned IHG applications. Partner with stakeholders and technology teams throughout the project lifecycle to support planning, testing, feedback, and implementation activities for assigned initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
- Partner with Product Managers and business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and maintain business requirements, user stories, process flows, business cases, and supporting documentation for Global Sales & Groups & Events product initiatives.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Technology, vendors, and business stakeholders to define functional and system requirements, document integration and data exchange requirements, and support the successful delivery of product enhancements.
- Analyze business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, recommend scalable solutions, and support prioritization of product enhancements aligned to business objectives.
- Lead business and user acceptance testing activities, including development of test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, execution of functional and regression testing, documentation of test results, validation of defect resolution, and coordination of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements prior to production release.
- Track, prioritize, and communicate defects, testing status, and release readiness to Product Managers, Technology teams, vendors, and business stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of issues impacting product delivery.
- Support Product Managers throughout the product lifecycle by coordinating requirements, facilitating stakeholder discussions, tracking deliverables, documenting decisions, and assisting with release readiness activities.
- Serve as a key liaison between Product Managers, Technology teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to coordinate product enhancements, support implementation activities, clarify business requirements, and resolve functional questions.
Key Skills & Experiences
Education
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Experience
Two to five years progressive work-related experience in operations and/or systems analysis with demonstrated technical proficiency related to the position.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of departmental operations and business systems, problems and solutions, and processes related to IHG Understand how to use databases and complete data analysis, as needed.
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff. - Effective analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills • Agile Project Management methodology is preferred • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Possess drive to work through issues, seek team support and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Must be comfortable using meeting systems and video cameras.
- Basic understanding of system hardware, software and ISP troubleshooting.
