The Analyst, Business Solutions role within the Corporate Information Technology (IT) organization provides strategic business analysis services as a liaison between the Libbey business community and Information Technology, acting as a champion for both. This individual is often a functional subject matter expert and collaborates with operational users and their leadership as assigned via established performance goals or SD+ tickets. Responsibilities will include a full range of activities from leading small IT projects to acting as a key IT resource coordinator for project managers within the Corporate PMO on business-run projects which contain IT workstreams.

Responsibilities:

Business & Functional Analysis

• Serve as a liaison between Operations and IT to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancements, and implementations.
• Elicit and clearly document functional business and systems requirements and translate into functional specifications without constraints related to known technical solutions.
• Collaborate closely with application owners and developers to design and implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process.
• Collaborate closely with functional and technical owners to accurately document as-is and to-be states.
• Maintain a level of knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies. Exhibit the ability to translate functional requirements in a manner that may be understood by the technical team.
• Assist with solution evaluations including RFP development and related proposal evaluations.
• Provide input to IT technical teams on application configuration based on business acumen, functional requirements, and the input of their manager.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required in the field of Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field/equivalent work experience.
• 3-6 years of IT or functional business analysis experience with demonstrated success in analyzing, understanding, and effectively translating communications between business operational requirements and technical design.
• Consultative experience is desirable but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated success in small to medium-scale, global business solutions and information technology implementations projects.
• Experience or certifications in Business Analysis, Process Management, Project Management, Six Sigma, and Organizational Change Management all desirable.
• Excellent organizational skills and experience with project and resource management tools (i.e .MS Project, Primavera, Workfront, OnePlan, etc.) to effectively manage, monitor and control project activities.
• Functional working knowledge of applications being implemented, enhanced, or upgraded (navigation, configuration, process workflow).
