Responsible for supporting the compensation programs and policies in support for the achievement of strategic goals within the company. Recommends and implements changes to compensation programs, policies, and processes to support overall company strategy. Ensures cost effective implementation and on-going support. Recommends new ideas to move the company forward. Ensures compliance with governmental regulations. Responds to business needs

Position Responsibilities may include:

  • Provides Compensation policy guidance and interpretation
  • Implements strategy and goals/objectives for compensation
  • Assists in the development and implementation of compensation policies and procedures and their dissemination.
  • Supports job evaluation and annual review of organization job leveling
  • Prepares reports and maintains records
  • Supports maintenance of job code table in HRIS and job description library in HR SharePoint
  • Assist in the administration of company programs such as employee recognition
  • Develops knowledge of legal requirements to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conducts external benchmarking activities within functional area, including participation in salary surveys
  • Participates in the delivery of functional training
  • Ensures equitable program adherence across different business units and teams
  • Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs

  • Possesses a broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education
  • Has no discretion to deviate from established procedures by performing structured work assignments
  • Work is closely supervised
  • Problems faced are not typically difficult nor complex
  • Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knows and applies fundamental HR concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Has experience in compensation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in Excel, SharePoint and HR Technologies
  • Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity on the job

Experience:

  • 1- 3 years Compensation or Finance experience

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance or business preferred

People Management: No

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations

  • Director, Total Compensation
