Summary

Conducts compliance reviews and testing for financial crime controls (AML, sanctions, anti-bribery) at a global payments company, assessing regulatory adherence and recommending control improvements.

The role focuses on strengthening the organization's Compliance framework by leading Quality Assurance (QA) reviews and Compliance Testing (PRSA) across Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), and other non-AML compliance risk areas. The position ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and governance standards while identifying control gaps, recommending improvements, and partnering with stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of compliance controls.

  • Lead Quality Assurance (QA) reviews across AML, Sanctions, Anti-corruption and other Financial Crime Compliance activities.
  • Assess adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and enterprise standards.
  • Execute Compliance Testing (PRSA) across non-AML compliance risk domains.
  • Develop risk-based test procedures and evaluate control design and operating effectiveness.
  • Document testing observations and communicate testing outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Perform independent oversight and reviews of non-AML compliance activities.
  • Identify control gaps, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Partner with Market Compliance Officers and business stakeholders to strengthen compliance controls and governance.

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Compliance, Audit, Risk or Financial Crime Compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Understanding of compliance reviews, Quality Assurance (QA), and PRSA testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of AML and regulatory compliance processes.
  • Prior experience in compliance, audit, or risk roles within financial services.
  • Familiarity with AML screening, KYC, or sanctions processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional certifications such as CIA, ACAMS, or ICA is an advantage.
