Job Description
The Fixed Income sales team focuses on covering Institutional clients Globally across a number of regions. Our team is responsible for the distribution of JPY Fixed Income products, working closely with other relevant business partners. We focus on servicing our clients across both JPY secondary market and primary markets, including cash, derivatives and financing products.
Responsibilities
- Provide Fixed Income sales coverage for clients Globally, across all relevant JPY products
- Service clients’ transactions, trade booking and confirmations, client onboarding, and daily market commentary.
- Build close working relationships with relevant business partners, across relevant sales and trading teams in Tokyo.
- Assist in the coordination of GMRA/CDEA/ISA/CSA derivative documentation with Client Services, Risk and Legal.
Role Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree qualification, preferably in Economics, Finance, Business, Accounting or other related disciplines.
- Early-career candidate with up to 3 years of relevant experience; prior internship or graduate trainee exposure in financial services, global markets, fixed income, sales and trading, or capital markets will be advantageous.
- Strong interest in financial markets, with a basic understanding of fixed income products, macroeconomic developments, and institutional client coverage.
- Good analytical ability, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English, with the confidence to interact professionally with internal stakeholders and clients.
- Minimum Level N1 in Japanese-Language Proficiency Test or equivalent is required due to frequent detailed communication with Headquarters and Japanese counterparts on information sharing and reporting.
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work across the Mizuho platform to build effective working relationships and support business objectives.
