Analyst, HR Ops Security & Apps

Summary

Supports security administration, access governance, and continuous improvement of global HR systems—processing access requests, conducting SOX audits, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating application releases.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analyst, HR Ops Security & Apps based in United States.

This role supports the security, administration, and continuous improvement of HR systems used by employees and HR teams globally.
You will help ensure users have appropriate access while maintaining strong data integrity, compliance, and operational controls.
The position combines functional security administration, HR application support, business analysis, and project coordination.
You will work closely with HR, IT security, application teams, and business stakeholders to translate needs into effective system solutions.
The role offers exposure to major HR processes including performance management, compensation, conflicts of interest, and organizational changes.
You will also contribute to application releases, process improvements, testing, reporting, and large-scale HR technology initiatives.

Accountabilities:

  • Functional security administration: Process user access requests for HR applications, ensuring accurate and timely provisioning and deprovisioning while maintaining appropriate authorization controls.
  • Access governance and compliance: Conduct quarterly security audits and user access reviews, support compliance with data security policies and SOX requirements, and maintain security-related configurations and end-user authorizations.
  • Security troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve system access and security issues, partnering with users, HR stakeholders, and IT security teams to provide timely solutions.
  • Security role management: Gather and document requirements for new security roles, support impact assessments and testing, and coordinate modifications and enhancements through implementation.
  • Reporting and analytics: Develop and maintain security audit reports and queries, producing accurate analysis for business stakeholders, senior leaders, and auditors.
  • HR process support: Provide functional security support for recurring and high-impact HR processes such as performance management, compensation, conflicts of interest, and executive reorganizations.
  • Application management: Gather and analyze business requirements for new applications and enhancements, translate them into functional design documentation, and coordinate releases and feature priorities.
  • Stakeholder partnership: Serve as a key point of contact for HR and IT teams, providing project updates, gathering feedback, addressing concerns, and explaining systems and processes to business partners.
  • User enablement: Support end users through training, guidance, documentation, and adoption of new application capabilities.
  • Projects and process improvement: Participate in HR technology implementations from requirements and design through testing and deployment, manage security workstream activities, and identify opportunities to improve HR processes and systems.
  • Requirements

    • Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, with at least 2 years of HRIS-related experience.
    • HR technology: Experience with SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) and/or SAP SuccessFactors talent modules is preferred.
    • Technical proficiency: Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
    • Security and systems knowledge: Understanding of HR application access management, functional security, user authorization, system testing, data integrity, and security controls.
    • Analytical capability: Strong analytical, critical-thinking, reporting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and identify practical solutions.
    • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical systems and processes clearly and present information to diverse audiences.
    • Stakeholder management: Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work consultatively with people from different functions, backgrounds, and levels of seniority.
    • Judgment and accountability: Sound decision-making skills, professional judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
    • Organization: Ability to manage multiple assignments and competing priorities while maintaining deadlines and forecasted delivery dates.
    • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a changing environment, responding to evolving business requirements, and supporting new technologies and processes.
    • Work schedule: Ability to work Eastern Time business hours and provide occasional evening or weekend support for critical implementations and go-live events.
    • Location flexibility: Although the role is fully remote, candidates should be able to commute approximately once per week, and occasionally more often, to either the New York, NY or Universal City, CA office when required.
