Analyst, IT Operations & M3 Support - Ontario Hybrid - 14 Month Contract

OVERVIEW

Circular Materials is seeking hands-on IT Operations & M3 Support Analyst to support the M3 Post-Collection Portal, rugged mobile devices, and broader IT Operations activities.

The successful candidate will be based in the Eastern Time Zone and must be comfortable working a staggered or later schedule when required to provide support coverage for Western Canada.

This is a hybrid role with occasional visits to the Circular Materials Toronto office for onsite technical support, equipment management, device provisioning, and other operational requirements.

This is not an M3-only position. The successful candidate will also participate in general service desk, desktop support, endpoint management, and other IT Operations activities based on team priorities.

This is a contract position, salaried paid and requires residency in Canada.



RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Level 1/Level 2 support for the M3 portal, including device, browser, access, and authentication issues.
  • Configure, deploy, and support rugged Android/scanning devices.
  • Manage devices through Microsoft Intune/MDM, including security policies, updates, application restrictions, and remote lock/wipe.
  • Support Windows endpoints, Microsoft 365, laptops, peripherals, and general user issues.
  • Perform initial troubleshooting and escalate application, network, identity, or hardware issues to the appropriate team or vendor.
  • Coordinate hardware warranty, replacement, spare-device, and lifecycle activities.
  • Support QA, UAT, production rollout, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Maintain accurate ticket notes, device records, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles.
  • Provide occasional onsite IT support at the Toronto office.
  • Participate in regular IT Operations support coverage and other team initiatives.
  • Work a flexible or staggered schedule as required to provide appropriate Pacific/Western Canada coverage.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.



Experience

  • 4-5 years of experience providing Level 1 and Level 2 IT support in a corporate environment.
  • Strong experience supporting Windows endpoints and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Mobile Device Management (MDM), endpoint provisioning, and device lifecycle management.
  • Experience supporting Android mobile devices, tablets, scanners, or similar endpoint technologies.



Knowledge/Competencies/Skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, authentication, access management, and device compliance.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, operating systems, applications, browsers, authentication, and connectivity.
  • Experience with ITSM/ticketing systems, incident management, and escalation processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot issues and determine when escalation is required.
  • Ability to work from the Eastern Time Zone while supporting Western Canadian operations.
  • Flexibility to work later or staggered hours when operationally required.
  • Ability to attend the Toronto office periodically.

Assets

  • Experience with Android Enterprise, Samsung Knox, or rugged mobile/scanning devices.
  • Experience supporting applications through QA, UAT, production rollout, hypercare, and steady-state operations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, PowerShell, or automation technologies.
  • Experience with hardware warranties, replacements, asset management, and spare-device inventories.
  • Experience supporting geographically distributed offices or operational facilities.
  • Experience in logistics, recycling, manufacturing, warehouse, field-service, or similar operational environments.
  • ITIL certification or equivalent service-management knowledge.


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Remote working with periodical working at Toronto office.
  • Working from the Eastern Time Zone while supporting Western Canadian operations.
  • Working later or staggered hours when operationally required.


PAY TRANSPARENCY

Expected Compensation:

  • An annual base salary in the range of $65,000 to $75,000.
  • The salary range listed complies with the Ontario Employment Standards Act and reflects a potential base salary range for this role. The actual salary offered will be determined within the range, and will depend on factors, such as the candidate’s unique qualifications, relevant experience, work location and expected contributions.
