Analyst, Production Support
Expion Health is building the future of pharmacy economics. As architects of prescription economics, we design how pharmacy value is created, aligning cost, clinical decisions, and performance into one accountable system that moves beyond rebates. We help organizations stay ahead of pharmacy market change with clear insight, bold thinking, and strategies built for what's next, leading the next era of prescription economics.
The Role
We are looking for an Analyst, Production Support to be the first line of defense for the production data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting environments our teams and clients rely on every day. This is a role for someone who loves solving problems under pressure, digging until they find the real cause, and leaving every system a little more reliable than they found it.
Sitting within our Data & Reporting team, you'll monitor, triage, and resolve issues across our Qlik, Snowflake, and MySQL platforms, keeping data flowing and reports trustworthy. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with data engineers, Qlik developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to fix issues fast and keep them from coming back.
If you enjoy turning a messy incident into a clean root-cause story, take pride in data people can trust, and get real satisfaction from automating away the work no one should have to do twice, you'll feel right at home here.
What You'll Own
- Keep production running. Monitor, triage, and resolve production incidents across Qlik dashboards, Snowflake pipelines, and MySQL databases within defined SLAs.
- Get to root cause. Perform root-cause analysis on data discrepancies, pipeline failures, and reporting errors, and document your findings so issues stay fixed.
- Own the pipelines. Maintain and update Snowflake Snowpipes, streams, tasks, and stored procedures to keep data ingestion and processing running continuously.
- Investigate with SQL. Write and optimize SQL queries across MySQL and Snowflake to track down data issues and validate fixes.
- Automate the routine. Build and maintain Python scripts for data validation, automation of repetitive support tasks, and lightweight ETL operations.
- Partner on dashboards. Work with Qlik developers to troubleshoot load scripts, data model issues, and visualization errors.
- Communicate clearly. Share incident status, resolution progress, and post-mortems in plain language for technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
- Strengthen the system. Contribute to runbooks and knowledge base articles, and find ways to improve monitoring, alerting, and overall reliability.
- Be there when it counts. Participate in an on-call rotation for critical production alerts and escalations.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years with a Master's degree, in production support, software development, data operations, or a similar technical role. Strong development experience counts in place of direct production support experience if you can show real root-cause and problem-solving ability.
- Hands-on experience with Qlik Sense or QlikView, including load scripts, data modeling, and app maintenance.
- Proficiency in Snowflake, including querying, Snowpipe, tasks, streams, time travel, and access control.
- Strong SQL skills with MySQL, including stored procedures, query optimization, index analysis, and data validation.
- Python scripting for automation, data validation, and support tooling (pandas, boto3, requests, or similar).
- A solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline architecture.
- Familiarity with AWS services relevant to data workflows, such as S3, SQS, Lambda, or CloudWatch.
- Experience with ticketing and incident management tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or equivalent.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to debugging.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and comfort working asynchronously in a remote environment.
Bonus points for:
- Experience with dbt or other data transformation frameworks.
- Exposure to healthcare data, HIPAA compliance, or clinical and pharmacy datasets.
- Familiarity with Genesys or similar contact center or CRM platforms.
- Knowledge of Git and CI/CD practices for data pipeline deployments.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog or CloudWatch.
- Snowflake SnowPro certification.
