Analyst Programmer (Backend & Maintenance Support)
Summary
Backend developer at a Hong Kong custom-software firm: builds and maintains web backends, APIs and databases for client projects, mainly enhancing existing systems, responding to client technical issues, and mentoring juniors in a team of 6-7. Core stack: Node.js, Express.js, TypeScript, MongoDB/PostgreSQL.
Responsibilities
Responsible for web backend development and implementation of deliverables according to specifications in a project-based development environment
Gather and analyse users’ requirements and implement application features accordingly, mainly focused on the enhancement of existing projects
Respond to clients for technical issues and enquiries.
Responsible for API and Database design, implementation, provisioning, deployment, maintenance
Work closely with teams of 6 - 7 developers and guide junior developers
Requirements
Higher Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines is preferred
At least 2 years of experience in the following
Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript
MongoDB or PostgreSQL
(Candidates with more experience will be considered as Senior Analyst Programmer)
Experience in either aspect of the following is highly advantageous
Cloud Service Providers (Azure, AWS or Aliyun) and MySQL
Property Management or Car Park Management Services
Construction services
Enterprise software (ERP / HRMS / CRM / BPM / MRP)
AI integrations
Experience in high-performance transaction processing and event processing are advantages
Understand Agile software delivery, DevOps Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices
Understand design patterns for Application, Microservices, Data, Infrastructure and Integration
Creative, Self-motivated, Initiative, Well-organized, Details-oriented and able to work under pressure
Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Immediate availability is highly preferred
