About your team

The team is responsible for Code Management, Application Builds, Releases, DevOps Automation, Cloud Enablement and Environment Support across non-production and production environments. The role involves managing release engineering activities for applications developed on Java, Python, Node.js, and AS400 platforms.

About your role


The candidate will work closely with development teams to plan, coordinate, and manage application releases while driving CI/CD automation and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong expertise in DevOps practices, source control management (GitHub), CI/CD tools (Jenkins), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure is highly desirable. Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, will be a distinct advantage. Additionally, familiarity with AI-powered tools and operational support processes will be beneficial.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient software delivery. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting release and environment-related issues in partnership with development, infrastructure, and support teams. As the position requires close engagement with stakeholders across both India and the UK, strong communication and collaboration skills are essential. Flexibility to work during India and/or UK business hours, along with occasional availability for after-hours or weekend support during critical releases, is required.

About you

  • Provide build, deployment, and release support for applications across iSeries (AS400), Java, Database, and Node.js platforms using Jenkins and associated DevOps toolsets, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and deployment automation.
  • Coordinate, manage, and execute application releases across development, testing, staging, and production environments, ensuring adherence to release schedules, governance standards, and deployment best practices.
  • Participate in release planning, implementation scheduling, environment provisioning/management, test data masking, and change management activities to support secure, controlled, and efficient software delivery across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Ensuring adherence to release governance process, change control and software configuration management processes promoting and supporting Fidelity’s development methodology
  • Ensure the integrity, quality, and traceability of software deliverables throughout the SDLC.
