Analyst Programmer
Summary
Java-focused analyst programmer at ELM Computer Technologies in Shek Mun, Sha Tin (on-site). Day to day: building web-based systems with Java/Spring Boot microservices, gathering user requirements, designing and optimizing databases, and generating reports (JasperReports/Apache POI). Requires 2-3 years of hands-on Java web development.
Key Responsibilities
· Web-based systems development using Java and contemporary development frameworks.
· Collect user requirements and provide efficient technical solutions.
· Conduct database design, optimize database operations, maintaining performance, reliability, and data consistency.
· Report development and document generation and processing
· Support the design and enhancement of microservices-based architectures to ensure scalability and maintainability.
Requirements
· 2–3 years of relevant experience in IT, with proven hands-on experience in Java web application development.
· Applicants with less experience may be considered for a Programmer role.
· Sound knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for client-side development.
· Proficiency in written English and fluent in Cantonese.
· Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and capacity to work with minimal supervision.
· Experience using version control systems, particularly Git.
· Practical familiarity with at least two of the following technologies:
o Angular
o Modular and reusable UI components development
o Spring Boot
o RESTful APIs design and implementation
o Database development, including schema design, optimization, and integration
o JasperReports
o Apache POI
