Company Description

St. Teresa’s Hospital (STH) is a large private hospital in Kowloon City with over 2,200 employees. Our Information Technology Department has a work force of 40 staff and is responsible for the IT function of both STH and our sister hospital in Causeway Bay. All IT systems are developed in-house in our two hospitals. In order to cope with the expansion of activities and the development of new systems, we are looking for qualified candidates to fill the following post:

Responsibilities:

• Full-Stack & Mobile Development: Architect, develop, and maintain responsive web portals and mobile applications using libraries like React, Angular, Node.js, React Native, and Native framework etc.

• System Design & Integration: Translate clinical workflows and administrative operational needs into robust technical designs; design secure RESTful APIs, interface pipelines, and backend services

• Vendor & Technical Governance: Collaborate with and oversee vendor development teams to ensure adherence to hospital coding standards, perform technical code reviews, and monitor release schedules

• Problem Diagnostics & Support: Resolve complex application logic bottlenecks, troubleshoot database/API integration issues, and provide technical escalation support for mission-critical clinical applications

• Stakeholder Consultation: Partner with clinical departments and hospital administrative users to gather functional requirements, evaluate feasibility, and recommend pragmatic technical solutions or workarounds

• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Formulate technical specifications, system architecture diagrams, test scenarios (SIT/UAT), and conduct user briefings or training sessions

• Application Lifecycle & Platform Support: Support and enhance cross-platform clinical applications, spanning web portals, mobile solutions, and enterprise desktop clients

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent

• Minimum 5 years of solid post-qualification experience in full-stack software development, system design, and production support

• Proven full-stack development experience utilizing modern frontend frameworks and backend services with RESTful API design

• Strong relational database expertise in MS SQL Server (stored procedures, schema design, and query performance tuning)

• Practical understanding of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), code versioning (Git), and system documentation standards

• Experience in development with React / Angular / nodeJS / .NET (Framework / Core) would be an advantage

• Experience in mobile application development (React Native / native platform) would be an advantage

• Experience in container based development (Docker / k8s) would be an advantage

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and independent problem-solving capabilities

• Good interpersonal and communication skills in Cantonese and English, with the ability to liaise effectively with both clinical users and external vendors
