Analyst - WBG, ADIB Capital & Treasury Business Finance
Summary
Analyzes financial performance for a bank’s wholesale, treasury, and capital divisions, producing forecasts, variance reports, and profitability metrics to support executive decision-making.
Role : Analyst WBG / Treasury Business Finance
Location : Abu Dhabi Head Office
Role Purpose:
- Assist LM in providing financial analytics, performance management, planning & support to respective businesses within ADIB.
- Support LM in providing timely business insights to business / senior management to meet financial targets driven by budgets and forecasts.
- Produce monthly business analysis including budget variance analysis and share it with respective stakeholders.
- Support a disciplined cost culture with cost intelligence that allows the senior team to tightly manage direct/controllable costs.
- Minotir RWA, RoRWA, and RoRAC along with other business profitability metrics on business and client levels.
- Produce weekly business forecast/flash
- Monitor movements in financing and deposits on a daily basis, and identify key changes by client.
- Support LM and Perofrmance Management Team in preparing the annual corporate plan in coordination with Business senior management.
Key Accountabilities of the role
- Assist LM in supporting strategic plans set by WBG / Treasury / IBG Heads to achieve business goals
Run weekly flash collection exercise in coordination with businesses, FP&A and BF team.
- Prepare daily/weekly trackers of Balance Sheet movements
- Enhance the quality & drill-down capabilities for (profitability patterns, Risk ratings, Sectors, Products & services across the corporate business Group).
- In coordination with LM produce WBG / Treasury /IBG budgets and ensure it is aspirational and reflects the bank overall strategy and vision.
- Monitor and explain budget variances including but not limited to rate-volume analysis.
- Understand business drivers and product offerings.
- Develop and monitor the underlying cost allocation rules for each cost center.
- Track contingent exposures and analyse profitability.
- Refresh scorecards and monitor KPIs.
Analyze classified exposures, cost of credit, and other relevant credit matters.
Collaborate with ACE on businesses customer genome and management insights/dashboards.
- Produce analytical reports to support key Senior Management's everyday operations.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to review and analyse cases presented to seniors.
- Provide strong analytical support in delivering team’s financial analysis.
- Review projects and BRDs financial commitments.
- Maintain internal control standards
- Contribute to other ad hoc initiatives as they arise and/or when required by LM/management.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
- 2 - 5 years of experience in Business/Finance analytics role
- BA in Finance/Accounting or relevant field
- Analytical and financial skills
- Adequate communication skills blended with strong work ethics
- Proficient in all MS office applications
- Balanced attention to detail with swift execution
- Research skills
- Finance qualification (i.e. CMA, ACCA …etc.)
