Analytics and Economics Manager (Strategy Department, Yandex Taxi)

You will navigate diverse data sources, process and analyze large volumes of data, define and lead your own analytical projects, and apply AI tools to uncover the reasons behind trends in business metrics and explain unfamiliar business phenomena. Econometric modeling
You will apply advanced economic modeling techniques to validate hypotheses and answer complex business questions. In addition, you will evaluate investment strategies for new markets, analyze factors affecting taxi usage frequency, explore new usage scenarios in mature markets, and automate analytical processes where appropriate. Scenario-based forecasting
You will apply your forecasting skills to test the effects of various regulatory scenarios, model their economic and business consequences holistically, and help the company build strong public policy arguments.* Have 3–5 years of experience in economic modeling, analytics, strategy, or related fields * Have a Master’s degree, MBA, or higher (a degree in mathematics, statistics, or econometrics is an advantage) * Have strong expertise in financial and economic modeling, including statistics and econometrics * Understand mathematical and economic principles and can apply them to business challenges * Are proficient in Python, R, Matlab, SQL, or similar analytical tools * Are ready to use AI tools in analytical work and modeling * Are fluent in English (C1 or higher) * Can structure complex problems, develop well-grounded conclusions, and work independently * Work effectively in a team and are ready to contribute to developing and defending analytical positions* Have experience managing projects from analysis to presentation, including preparing materials for senior stakeholders Learn more about Yandex Urban Services development at [dev.go.yandex](dev.go.yandex)
