SUMMARY
The Analytics Architect is responsible for designing and enabling enterprise analytics solutions that convert trusted data into actionable business insights and operational improvements. This role provides architectural leadership across business intelligence, analytics enablement, and governed self‑service, ensuring analytics solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise data strategy.
Working as part of the Data Strategy team, the Analytics Architect partners with data engineering, data governance, IT, and business stakeholders to define analytics standards, deliver reusable data models, and empower analytics consumption across the organization — while maintaining strong governance and consistency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.
- Analytics Architecture & Solution Design
- Reusable data models and semantic layers
- Consistent KPI definitions and metric logic
- Standardized dashboard and reporting structures
- Translates business needs into scalable, maintainable analytics and reporting solutions.
- Designs enterprise analytics patterns including:
- Provides architectural guidance on performance, scalability, and usability of analytics solutions.
- Reduces reporting redundancy by promoting shared, trusted analytics assets.
- Analytics Enablement & Self‑Service Strategy
- Enables responsible, governed self‑service analytics by business users.
- Defines standards, templates, and patterns that allow users to build insights safely and efficiently.
- Provides enablement through training, documentation, and coaching.
- Serves as a bridge between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring solutions are intuitive and business‑aligned.
- Governance, Security, and Data Trust
- Partners with data governance stakeholders to embed governance into analytics solutions by design.
- Supports consistent application of:
- Access controls and role‑based security
- Data classification and sensitivity awareness
- Certification or endorsement of trusted datasets and metrics
- Ensures analytics assets adhere to enterprise standards for accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Helps define and enforce standards for analytics lifecycle management (development, testing, release, retirement).
- Platform Transition & Modernization Support
- Supports evolution and modernization of analytics landscape by:
- Assisting in rationalization of legacy reporting assets.
- Rebuilding or redesigning high‑value analytics using improved modeling and governance practices.
- Partnering with data engineers to ensure analytics requirements are reflected in curated data layers
- Advocates for architectural improvements that reduce technical debt and improve long‑term sustainability.
- Supports evolution and modernization of analytics landscape by:
- Advanced Analytics & AI Readiness
- Prepares analytics assets to support advanced capabilities such as automation and AI‑assisted insights.
- Ensures data models and metrics are business‑friendly, documented, and structured for advanced analytical use.
- Promotes analytics designs that support natural‑language querying, decision support, and future analytical innovation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field. Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise business intelligence or analytics solutions. Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical analytics solutions.
Strong understanding of:
- Data modeling concepts (dimensional, semantic, or analytical models)
- KPI design and metric standardization
- Analytics governance and best practices
Preferred
Experience working in a modern enterprise analytics environment. Exposure to data governance, data cataloging, or enterprise data stewardship practices. Experience supporting or enabling self‑service analytics at scale. Familiarity with analytics‑driven automation or AI‑assisted decision‑support concepts. Experience working across multiple business domains in a global or multi‑regional organization.
