key responsibilities:
Pipeline & Model Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models using SQL, Python, and dbt.
Large-Scale Data Management: Process, transform, and optimize massive datasets efficiently within a Databricks environment.
Data Quality & Governance: Implement testing and validation frameworks within dbt to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and consistency across all reporting layers.
Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in existing data workflows and rewrite complex queries to improve compute efficiency and reduce costs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into well-defined data models.
requirements:
Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a heavily technical Data Analyst role.
SQL Mastery: Advanced proficiency in writing complex, highly optimized SQL queries.
Modern Data Stack: Deep, hands-on experience using dbt for data modeling, testing, and deployment.
Programming: Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.
Platform Expertise: Proven experience working with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake) to handle large-scale data processing.
nice to haves:
Previous experience working across regional markets or dealing with multi-regional datasets.
A self-starter mentality with the ability to manage projects independently and proactively identify areas for improvement.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
