Working closely with the Data Engineering and Business Intelligence team, the purpose of your role is to build high-quality data models and datasets that support reporting, analysis, and self-service insights.

It’s a hands-on role that will model, test, deploy, and document robust data products across a range of use cases using modern data technologies such as Snowflake and dbt. Working closely with the partnering teams, you’ll engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, translate requirements into maintainable solutions, and ensure data is accurate, secure, accessible, and governed throughout its lifecycle.

You combine strong technical capability with clear communication, sound judgement, and personal accountability, and you’re comfortable working through change while partnering with people at all levels.

  • 3+ years’ experience working with databases, business intelligence tools, and data analysis in a business environment.
  • Strong SQL capability with hands-on experience working with Snowflake and dbt.
  • Practical experience with CI/CD and version control tools such as GitLab.
  • Proven experience in requirements analysis, business process mapping, data modelling, and supporting enterprise data solutions, ideally using cloud-native technologies and a modern data stack.

  • Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A positive, solutions-focused approach, with confidence navigating change, sound commercial awareness, and strong personal accountability.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar tools, would be an advantage.

Requirements

  • Deliver fit-for-purpose analytics outputs and BI objects - including reports, dashboards, and models - for visualisation, agentic development, reporting, analysis, and insight.
  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain conformed data models and reusable datasets for enterprise use.
  • Apply and strengthen Sky’s analytics engineering standards, using version control and continuous integration practices to manage the analytics codebase.
  • Ensure data is accessible, secure, high quality, appropriately retained, and supported by clear documentation, definitions, metadata, and lineage.
  • Support data governance policies and procedures and help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Gather and validate business requirements, develop solution plans, and partner with stakeholders on data solution design and delivery.
  • Support the planning, delivery, and ongoing maintenance of data outputs across Sky.
  • Monitor external data and analytics trends to identify opportunities to innovate and help improve Sky’s data maturity.

  • A flexible, supportive culture where your ideas matter
  • Great career development with real pathways to grow
