Overview

As an Analytics Engineer, you will build scalable data pipelines and curated datasets to enable reliable reporting and self-service analytics. You’ll work with BI Developers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions, focusing on scalable ETL/ELT design and data quality. You’ll optimise data models and backend structures to support performant dashboards, while contributing to the evolution of the data platform in a collaborative, forward-thinking team. This role offers the chance to shape data architecture using modern cloud technologies and best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines delivering high-quality data
  • Develop curated, business-ready datasets to support reporting and self-service analytics
  • Optimise data models, SQL queries and pipeline performance for efficiency and scale
  • Implement data quality, monitoring and governance controls to ensure trusted data
  • Collaborate with BI Developers to support performant visualisations through backend models
  • Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions for stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the data platform and tooling
Key requirements
  • Strong SQL skills with data model optimisation
  • Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Exposure to data warehouses and data lakes
  • Understanding of workflow orchestration and automation tools
  • Python experience (including PySpark) beneficial but not essential
  • Exposure to BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight) and backend data modelling for reporting
  • Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborative mindset
  • Interest in modern data engineering practices and emerging technologies
