Anaplan EPM / Planning & Forecasting Architect

Summary

The role of Anaplan EPM / Planning & Forecasting Architect is predominantly focused on establishing and optimizing the finance data model that will underpin future Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), planning, and forecasting initiatives. This position ensures that foundational requirements and integration principles are defined to facilitate subsequent phases.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assess current planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes and data structures across affiliates.

• Define planning dimensions, hierarchies, and granularity requirements for the target data model.

• Outline driver-based planning, scenario modeling, and Replacement Cost (RC) margin forecasting considerations for downstream.

• Define conceptual integration principles among ERP/CFIN, EPM, and reporting layers.

• Contribute to EPM readiness actions and dependencies within the foundational roadmap.

Key Requirements:

• Several end-to-end Anaplan implementations as a Solution Architect or Lead Model Builder.

• Strong understanding of integrated financial and operational planning (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, capex).

• Experience integrating planning platforms with SAP S/4HANA or other ERPs.

• Hands-on experience in downstream Oil & Gas (refining, trading, chemicals, lubricants, retail or integrated value chain) within a multi-entity / multi-affiliate environment.

Nice to Have:

• Anaplan Certified Solution Architect / Master Anaplanner.

• Knowledge of other Tier-1 EPM platforms (e.g., OneStream, Oracle EPM / Hyperion).

• Experience with predictive forecasting or AI-enabled planning.

• Experience Requirement: 10+ years in EPM; 5+ years in Anaplan
