Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. Opportunity Details:
- Practice the full spectrum of Anatomic and Clinical Pathology in a dynamic, academic hospital environment.
- Interpret and sign out a wide variety of surgical pathology, cytology, and frozen section cases with a high level of diagnostic autonomy.
- Perform intraoperative consultations, autopsies, renal biopsy adequacy assessments, and critical result reporting while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Provide medical oversight and consultation to the clinical laboratories, including hematology, urinalysis, body fluid analysis, blood smear review, and reference laboratory testing.
- Supervise and mentor Pathologists' Assistants, laboratory staff, residents, fellows, and medical students, with dedicated opportunities for teaching and academic involvement.
- Collaborate with laboratory leadership to support operational excellent, accreditation standards, and proficiency testing across the laboratory.
