Android Developer
You will dive deep into modern Android architecture, craft seamless user interfaces, and help push the boundaries of mobile audio processing. You will build and optimize features for high-scale music applications following Agile/Scrum methodologies, participate in technical brainstorming sessions, design robust technical solutions, and conduct code reviews. You will research and prototype emerging Android technologies and audio frameworks, collaborate within cross-functional Scrum teams, support fellow engineers, manage your workflow using Git, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines, and take ownership of app stability by debugging complex issues.
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize features for high-scale music applications following product priorities and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Participate in technical brainstorming sessions and design robust technical solutions
- Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and scalability
- Research and prototype emerging Android technologies and audio frameworks
- Collaborate within cross-functional Scrum teams and support fellow engineers with technical hurdles
- Manage workflow using Git, JIRA, and modern CI/CD pipelines
- Debug complex issues and ensure high availability for the global user base
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional Android development experience
- Strong command of Kotlin, including idiomatic style, Coroutines, Flow, and Kotlin Serialization
- Hands-on production experience with Jetpack Compose, State Hoisting, and Material Design 3
- Deep understanding of Clean Architecture (Data/Domain/Presentation layers) and MVVM utilizing StateFlow, sealed class state machines, and the repository pattern
- Proficiency with Jetpack Navigation, Room, and DataStore
- Experience with Hilt or Dagger
- Experience integrating REST APIs (using Ktor or Retrofit)
- Familiarity with unit testing (JUnit, MockK) and UI testing fundamentals
- Solid experience with Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) and AdMob SDK
- Comfortable leveraging AI Coding Agents (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) as daily development companions
- Experience with Media3 / ExoPlayer and core audio processing (preferred)
- Familiarity with GLSL shaders and advanced graphics rendering (preferred)
- Knowledge of background processing using WorkManager (preferred)
- Experience with Supabase or Ktor backend environments (preferred)
- Optimization experience using ProGuard/R8 and KSP (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Ad Mediation platforms such as AppLovin MAX, Meta, ironSource (preferred)
