Android Developer

• Must be a sole British national
• Must be prepared to undergo SC clearance; eligibility requires 5 years in the UK and no more than 3 months outside the country

• Develop reliable Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with potential work in Kotlin Multiplatform, supporting experiences such as real-time device data, mapping, and offline functionality
• Design and implement robust, scalable back-end solutions using Rust or Go, including web APIs, AWS and Azure solutions, and IoT integrations
• Use Git for version control and collaborative code management
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code in line with industry best practices
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Keep up to date with software development technologies, trends, and best practices
• Contribute across the software pipeline, from presenting ideas to customers through coding and deployment to customer systems

We are looking for an Android Developer to work with one of our clients in the defence sector, building applications that address real-world challenges. Youll join a highly collaborative and supportive team. This is an outside IR35 role based in Cheltenham, with onsite work required three days per week.
