Android Developer
Minimum 5 years of Android mobile software engineering experience in a similar senior role
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Expert-level knowledge of Kotlin and Android Studio; Java proficiency is also required
• Proven track record of delivering published Android applications (at least one app available on Google Play)
• Comfortable working in a Scrum team using Agile and lean methodologies
• Strong understanding of native Android frameworks, mobile architecture patterns, and Android SDK
• Experience with unit testing, TDD, continuous integration (GitHub Enterprise or Jenkins), and CI/CD pipelines
• Solid understanding of mobile security standards and secure coding practices for Android
• Ability to read and analyse code quickly to identify and resolve issues
• Excellent written and spoken English
Preferred / Advantageous
• Experience developing mobile banking apps in a licensed financial institution context
• Familiarity with BNM RMIT November 2025 mobile security requirements (device binding, kill switch, cooling-off period)
• Prior delivery in a regulated banking or fintech environment in Malaysia or Southeast Asia
