Role description:
Builds native Android features, working with the Android SDK, backend APIs, and databases, across a range of device types.
Responsibilities
- Design and build native Android features using the Android SDK
- Integrate with backend APIs and databases
- Write maintainable, reusable code and refactor as needed
- Support functionality across multiple Android device types and screen sizes
- Collaborate with a cross-functional development team
- Use Git for version control and code collaboration
Required
- 5+ years of Android development experience, including apps that support multiple device types
- Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, plus experience working with databases and APIs
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, with the ability to write maintainable code and recognize when refactoring is needed
- Experience with Git
- Experience with Internet/Mobile Banking or another customer-facing digital platform
- Ability to work effectively in a team
Preferred
- CI experience (Gradle, GitHub Actions, Artifactory)
- Unit testing (JUnit, Mockito)
- Code quality tooling (SonarQube, Lint, Detekt)
- Experience with other mobile platforms
- Comfortable using AI tools for analysis, documentation, and process improvement
