Join a global leader in intelligent payment terminals and software solutions as an Android Development Engineer. Drive the development of Android-based payment applications tailored for the APAC market, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Android applications customized for APAC market requirements to enhance payment solutions
- Integrate payment SDKs, transaction modules, and terminal vendor systems to ensure seamless transaction processing
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance architectures supporting high concurrency for payment platforms
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and headquarters in China, including product, testing, operations, and business units, to align technical solutions with business goals
- Translate market and compliance requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions for payment systems
- Prepare, update, and manage comprehensive technical documentation to support development and operational needs
- Monitor and analyze payment industry trends, policies, and compliance standards to ensure solutions remain current and compliant
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 3+ years of Android development experience
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages, Android architecture, and SDK integration
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Experience in payment or FinTech projects such as POS and acquiring systems
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills applied in fast-paced environments
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
- Fluency in multiple languages to facilitate collaboration with regional teams
