Android Development Engineer (Singaporean / Permanent Resident Only)

Job Overview
Newland NPT is looking for Android Development Engineers, to support our expansion and localized products demand in the APAC market. This role will be based in Singapore, and will report to Product Technology Center of HQ based in China. You will work closely with both APAC team in Singapore and International BU team in HQ.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Android software application development for the APAC region, including Android APP development, payment SDK integration, transaction module processing, and terminal vendor adaptation.
- Design and implement high-concurrency architectures, coding, unit testing, and end-to-end delivery in alignment with local payment scenarios.
- Collaborate with HQ's product, component, application, testing, and operations teams, as well as local business teams, to translate market needs into actionable application solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, implementation guides, and test documentation.
- Stay updated on APAC payment industry trends, local policies, and compliance requirements to ensure product adaptability.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Information Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 3+ years of Android development experience, with hands-on experience in payment-related projects (FinTech, POS payment, offline acquiring) preferred.
- Proficient in Android development (Java/Kotlin), with a deep understanding of Android architecture, SDK integration, and performance optimization.
- Familiar with POS payment scenarios, offline payment principles, and security standards.
- Strong problem-solving and logical thinking abilities. Excellent cross-team collaboration and communication skills. Be able to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) as a working language.
- Good in spoken and written Chinese.
