Android Engineer
Summary
Designs and ships user-facing features for Binance's Android app at the world's largest crypto exchange, writing stable Kotlin/Java code, integrating real-time third-party APIs, and optimizing performance across memory, rendering, networking, and cold start while contributing to modular architecture and code reviews.
Responsibilities
• Build stable, efficient, and high-performance code with strong attention to user experience
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features at scale
• Integrate third-party APIs and data sources, including real-time and low-latency services
• Write unit tests and improve robustness, reliability, and edge-case handling
• Troubleshoot issues, fix critical bugs, and continuously improve app performance
• Participate in technical and architectural discussions and contribute to long-term product direction
• Work on performance optimization across memory, layout, battery, rendering, networking, and cold start
• Support modularization, codebase maintainability, and large-scale refactoring efforts
• Contribute to code reviews, best practices, and engineering quality standards
Requirements
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and Android fundamentals
• Deep knowledge of Android system architecture, lifecycle, and UI rendering
• Experience with Jetpack components such as ViewModel and Room
• Experience with Retrofit, OkHttp, and modern Android networking patterns
• Hands-on experience with MVVM/MVI and modular app architecture
• Proven track record of performance optimization and issue diagnosis
• Familiarity with debugging and profiling tools such as Profiler, Systrace, Perfetto, and LeakCanary
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
