Location: Sydney - Hybrid (2/3 Days On Site)
Contract: 6 Months | $800/day Inc Super
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Android Platform Engineer to help modernise a large-scale enterprise mobile platform supporting thousands of Android devices.
Working across Engineering, Mobile Development and Operations, you'll improve how Android applications are built, managed and deployed by developing scalable, automated delivery pipelines that are secure, reliable and easy for development teams to use.
This is a great opportunity to work with modern mobile technologies while helping shape Android platform delivery at enterprise scale.
What You'll Do
Build Modern Mobile Platforms: Develop and enhance enterprise Android platforms, improving the developer experience and enabling scalable application delivery.
Drive Mobile CI/CD: Design and maintain automated build, testing and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, delivering applications to Google Play and internal distribution channels.
Improve Automation: Reduce manual processes by implementing infrastructure and deployment automation, making mobile platform services reliable and repeatable.
Strengthen Security & Compliance: Embed security best practices into delivery pipelines, supporting secure application deployment and compliance across the Android estate.
Optimise Platform Performance: Monitor application health and platform telemetry using tools such as Splunk, proactively identifying issues and driving continuous improvements.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Mobile Developers, Security, Infrastructure and Operations teams to deliver stable, secure and high-performing mobile platforms.
What You'll Bring
Experience: 5+ years in Mobile Platform, Infrastructure or Device Engineering, including experience supporting enterprise Android environments.
