Android Middleware Engineer

Education :

- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience and Technical Requirements :

- Advanced proficiency in Kotlin for Android development.

- Strong practical experience with Java programming.

- Hands-on experience with Java Native Interface (JNI) for integrating Java/Kotlin code with native components.

- Deep understanding of Android architecture and Android Open Source Project (AOSP).

- Strong knowledge of Android Framework internals.

- Experience with Android inter-process communication (IPC), particularly Binder and AIDL.

- Understanding of communication between native code and Android Framework components.

- Knowledge of Android security and permission mechanisms.

- Ability to debug and troubleshoot middleware integration issues.

Job Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain Android middleware components using Kotlin and Java.

- Integrate native libraries and components with Android applications and Framework services using JNI.

- Implement and maintain AIDL interfaces and Binder-based IPC mechanisms.

- Work with Android Framework internals to support reliable communication between system components.

- Troubleshoot middleware issues involving native code, Framework services, and IPC.

- Ensure code quality, stability, and maintainability across Android middleware components.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate middleware solutions into the Android platform.

- Follow established development practices, including version control and continuous integration workflows.
