Android Software Engineer (AI Systems)
Summary
This role involves developing and maintaining production Android applications that integrate AI-driven features like conversational assistants and computer vision. The engineer will work with Kotlin, Coroutines, and various AI APIs to optimize performance and user experience for an AI-focused fintech product.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop, enhance, and maintain production Android applications using Kotlin.
· Integrate AI-driven capabilities such as conversational assistants, computer vision, voice experiences, and recommendation engines through backend services and APIs.
· Design intuitive user experiences for AI workflows, including streaming responses, error recovery, retries, and handling partial results.
· Optimize application performance, responsiveness, memory consumption, and battery efficiency for AI-intensive use cases.
· Implement analytics, monitoring, logging, and user feedback mechanisms to support AI evaluation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
· Partner closely with backend, platform, and machine learning engineers to define API contracts and ensure seamless end-to-end functionality.
· Maintain high standards for application stability, security, scalability, and production readiness.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· 3+ years of professional Android development experience using Kotlin.
· Practical experience integrating AI technologies such as LLMs, computer vision, speech recognition, or other AI-powered APIs.
· Strong understanding of asynchronous programming concepts, including Coroutines and Flow.
· Experience working with RESTful or gRPC services and structured data formats.
· Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
· Comfortable building systems that operate under latency constraints, partial failures, and non-deterministic AI behavior.
· Experience with ML Kit, TensorFlow Lite, or lightweight on-device machine learning solutions is advantageous.
· Track record of delivering and maintaining production applications published on the Google Play Store.
