We are seeking a seasoned Android Software Engineer to join our mobile development team and play a key role in evolving our existing Android application. The ideal candidate will have strong Android development expertise, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and be passionate about delivering high-quality mobile experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy new features for an existing Android application.
Write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable Android code.
Contribute to application architecture and technical strategy.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and deliver solutions.
Improve application performance, reliability, and overall user experience.
Stay current with Android platform updates, technologies, and industry best practices.
Promote coding, testing, and design best practices.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering excellence.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of professional Android development experience.
Strong professional experience building and shipping Android applications/features.
Proficiency in Kotlin.
Deep understanding of Android SDKs and APIs across different OS versions.
Experience working with large-scale applications and complex architectures.
Experience with RESTful APIs, HTTP, and asynchronous data handling.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
Experience with performance optimization.
Understanding of UI/UX principles and collaboration with design teams.
Experience with Git/version control.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred / Plus
Experience with Jetpack Compose.
Experience contributing to architectural and technical decisions.
Experience mentoring junior Android developers.
