Requirements:
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, with significant hands-on Android development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Deep understanding of the Android SDK, Android application lifecycle, and modern Android development practices.
- Strong experience with Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, or similar approaches.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, sockets, routing, and network connectivity concepts.
- Experience troubleshooting complex networking and connectivity issues on Android.
- Strong understanding of Android security principles, secure storage, encryption, authentication, and certificate/TLS concepts.
- Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience writing unit tests and UI/integration tests.
- Strong understanding of Android performance optimization and memory management.
- Experience working with international teams, particularly with teams or stakeholders based in India.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience developing VPN, proxy, firewall, network security, or privacy-focused
applications.
- Experience working with VPN protocols such as OpenVPN, IKEv2/IPSec, V2Ray,
WireGuard or similar technologies.
- Experience with native Android development using NDK/C/C++.
- Experience analyzing network traffic using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, or similar
tools.
- Experience with Android security hardening and application protection.
- Experience with CI/CD systems and automated Android build and release pipelines.
