Android Tech Lead - Core Product (Distributed, Impactful)

Lever, Inc., on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Tech Lead, Android Core Product based in Italy. This strategic Android engineering role focuses on shaping a fast-growing mobile product used by millions worldwide.

You will own major features end-to-end, mentor peers, and drive architectural decisions while collaborating with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, user empathy, and high-quality delivery in a fully distributed environment.

Own major Android features end-to-end with Product/Design. Shape future direction of Android engineering with architectural thinking. Monitor and improve reliability metrics for key features. Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, QA on solutions. Review PRs and provide technical feedback to teammates. Own critical incidents and drive resolution quickly. Manage feature releases and provide nightly builds to QA. 5+ years of professional software engineering experience developing Android apps. Strong familiarity with Android components and production-quality apps. Excellent hands-on expertise with Kotlin and modern Android development tools.
