About This Opportunity

The Christmas Warehouse Worker assists with the daily operations of The Salvation Army Christmas Center and Angel Tree Program.

This position is responsible for receiving, unloading, sorting, organizing, and distributing donated items, maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment, and assisting with the pickup of donations from designated locations.

The Christmas Warehouse Worker plays an important role in helping ensure donated gifts and supplies are properly handled and prepared for distribution to families during the Christmas season.

Key Responsibilities

• Receives, lifts, carries, loads, unloads, sorts, and organizes donated items in the Christmas warehouse.
• Assists with unloading trucks and placing donations in designated warehouse areas.
• Sorts and distributes donations according to instructions and established procedures.
• Assists with Angel Tree donation pickups from designated drop-off locations, businesses, and other collection sites.
• Helps prepare, organize, and arrange donated gifts and supplies for Christmas distribution.
• Assists with the setup, layout, organization, and cleanup of the Christmas warehouse.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
• Picks up trash, empties garbage containers, and removes waste to designated disposal areas.
• Assists with maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse and loading dock.
• Follows safety and security procedures when handling donations and warehouse equipment.
• Maintains positive and professional relationships with donors, volunteers, staff, and the public.
• Assists in all areas of Christmas warehouse operations as needed.
• Performs special projects and other related duties as assigned.
