The Annual Giving Manager supports mission-critical fundraising operations for Good Samaritan. This position is responsible for managing various fundraising campaigns and events, supporting grant development and management, overseeing donor software and recordkeeping, and developing reporting and analytics to identify giving trends and opportunities for support.

What you will do as an Annual Giving Manager:

  • Manage and support fundraising campaigns and events, including the Annual Giving Campaign, Employee Giving Campaign, Butterfly Release, Memorial Service, and other initiatives
  • Develop fundraising budgets, track outcomes, and ensure campaigns and events are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Partner with Marketing and Community Relations to plan and promote fundraising events and increase brand awareness
  • Manage donor lists and develop promotional materials, including advertisements, emails, flyers, social media content, and solicitation letters
  • Assist with larger fundraising initiatives, including Capital Campaign activities, as directed by the Director of Philanthropy
  • Research and identify grant funding opportunities and cultivate relationships with prospective funders
  • Write, submit, and manage grant proposals and provide supporting documentation to prospective funders
  • Partner with Finance to ensure grant budgets and financial reports are accurate
  • Serve as the lead staff member for donor software and donor recordkeeping
  • Maintain accurate records of donor gifts and grants and ensure timely donation acknowledgments
  • Research and screen prospective donors and identify new opportunities for support
  • Develop and deliver clear reporting and analytics to track giving trends and fundraising opportunities
  • Build positive relationships with foundations, businesses, donors, and community leaders
  • Participate in speaking engagements and community activities that support Good Samaritan’s fundraising efforts

What we are looking for in an Annual Giving Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, including special event planning and grant management
  • Experience using social media for fundraising and brand awareness
  • Proficiency with fundraising databases, email, social media platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with current and prospective donors and community partners
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team

Schedule & Benefits:

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, with occasional evenings and weekends required to support fundraising campaigns, events, and community activities

Starting Salary: $55,000/year

This is the starting salary for the position. Compensation may vary within the established salary range based on relevant experience, education, licensure, certifications, and other qualifications.
