Anthropic CoE/ Claude Architect
Description
Job Description
Role:
We are seeking a Senior Architect to lead the design and enterprise adoption of Claude-based Generative AI and agentic solutions. The role owns the technical vision for how we and our clients leverage Claude models and surfaces — Claude Chat, Claude Code and Claude Cowork — to build secure, cost-efficient, production-grade AI and agentic systems. You will be the deep technical authority on Claude: from model selection and prompt / context strategy to multi-agent orchestration, connectors, evaluation and governance. You will mentor teams, set standards, and partner with security, privacy and regulatory stakeholders — including in regulated environments such as US medical devices (FDA, HIPAA).
͏
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Solution Design
- Define reference architectures and reusable patterns for Claude-powered Gen AI and agentic solutions across cloud platforms.
- Translate business problems into scalable, secure and cost-optimized designs; lead key technical decisions and trade-offs.
- Establish evaluation, testing and observability frameworks for LLM and agent quality, safety and performance.
Claude Models & Platform
- Advise on model selection and right-sizing across the Claude family (Haiku, Sonnet, Opus and emerging models such as Fable), balancing quality, latency and cost.
- Design prompt, context and caching strategies (prompt caching, batch processing, context management) to optimize cost and performance.
- Integrate the Claude API and Agent SDK, tool use, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectors.
Claude Surfaces
- Architect solutions across Claude Chat, Claude Code (agentic coding & SDLC acceleration) and Claude Cowork (autonomous, multi-step workflows).
- Define when and how each surface is used, aligned to enterprise governance and user personas.
Agentic AI
- Design single- and multi-agent systems: orchestration, planning, tool / connector integration, memory and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Build reusable skills, agents and MCP connectors; establish agent guardrails, evaluation harnesses and safe-autonomy patterns.
Generative AI Engineering
- Lead RAG, prompt engineering, embeddings and knowledge-grounding approaches; drive systematic LLM evaluation.
- Embed responsible-AI, security and data-privacy controls; ensure compliance in regulated contexts (HIPAA / FDA where applicable).
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Partner with InfoSec, Privacy / DPO and Regulatory / QA to embed controls (BAA, DLP, audit trails, validation) into AI and agent designs.
- Contribute to AI governance standards, model / cost policies and review boards.
Leadership & Enablement
- Mentor architects and engineers; run enablement, design reviews and communities of practice.
- Act as trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders; support pre-sales and solutioning as needed.
