We're seeking a passionate AOD Counsellor / Case Manager to join our team in Longreach, supporting both adults and young people experiencing alcohol and other drug challenges through counselling, case management and recovery-focused support.

About the Role
You'll deliver evidence-based alcohol and other drug treatment services, including:

Assessments, counselling and case management.
Treatment and recovery planning.
Care coordination, advocacy and referrals.
Collaboration with health and community service providers.
Outreach services across the Central West region.

This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, and is offered on a fixed-term basis until 30 June 2027. Subject to future funding arrangements, there may be an opportunity for the position to become ongoing.
Based in Longreach, you'll provide a combination of office-based and outreach service delivery. The role includes approximately one day of outreach travel per week to communities including Winton, Barcaldine and Blackall, as well as monthly overnight outreach visits to Jundah and Windorah.
A fully maintained Toyota Prado is provided for all work-related travel.
What We're Looking For
You will have:

Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Human Services, Behavioural Science or a related discipline.
Experience in counselling, case management or community service delivery.
Strong communication, assessment and relationship-building skills.
The ability to support people with complex needs using a person-centred approach.
Experience working collaboratively with other services and stakeholders.
Sound computer and administration skills.
A current Australian Driver Licence.
A current Blue Card, or the ability to obtain one.

Experience in alcohol and other drug services, outreach work, or rural and regional service delivery will be highly regarded.
