JOB DESCRIPTION
Accounts Payable Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Accounting
POSITION:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be involved in invoice verification, data entry, resolving discrepancies, maintaining vendor data for various locations.
REPORTING:
This position is responsible to the Accounts Payable Manager
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred but not required
License: None Required
Work Experience: Accounts Payable (2+ years) Skilled Nursing Healthcare experience a plus. PointClickCare experience a plus. Stampli experience is a plus.
Language Skills:
Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, and to be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language.
Mathematical Skills:
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Communication Skills:
Must have exceptional communication and customer service skills and be empathetic.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Reviews and evaluates accounts payable invoices to ensure completeness and accuracy
· Prepare and process weekly check runs
· 1099 setup and filing
· Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, etc.
· Positive Pay submission/review
· Support internal departments with invoice-related questions
· Assist with audits and special projects as assigned
· Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned
· Audit and review employee expense reimbursement submissions to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

· Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can take ownership of projects with minimal supervision.
· Able to work some off-hours necessary to complete the monthly close process
