APAC Finance manager (Group Consolidation) - Central
Our client is a growing AI technology company serving the automotive industry, seeking an AI Technical Lead to drive AI solutions and innovation within its Technology Team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end finance and accounting activities across multiple overseas entities, including APAC and Latin America.
- Manage full-set accounting, covering general ledger, AP/AR, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end closing and financial schedules.
- Lead group consolidation and reporting, including intercompany reconciliation, eliminations and preparation of management accounts.
- Manage cash flow and treasury activities, including forecasting, liquidity planning, payment scheduling, banking facilities and funding requirements.
- Coordinate statutory audits, tax filings and regulatory matters with auditors, tax advisers, corporate secretaries and other external parties.
- Oversee regional tax compliance covering corporate tax, GST/SST/VAT, e-Invoicing, withholding tax and transfer pricing matters.
- Manage cross-border and intercompany arrangements, including funding, cost allocations, service charges, reimbursements and settlements.
- Establish and enhance Group finance policies, internal controls, accounting procedures and approval workflows.
- Support overseas expansion and new entity setup, including accounting systems, banking arrangements, tax registration and finance processes.
- Lead the implementation and enhancement of finance systems, ERP platforms and automated approval workflows.
- Ensure finance operations comply with applicable accounting standards, statutory regulations, tax requirements and internal policies.
- Provide finance guidance to overseas teams and internal departments on accounting treatment, payments, taxation and financial controls.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in full-set accounting, group consolidation and financial reporting.
- Hands-on knowledge of taxation, treasury, cash flow management and statutory compliance.
- Proficient in accounting software / ERP systems, with regional or multinational exposure preferred.
- Familiar with Singapore and Malaysia accounting standards, tax regulations and cross-border finance matters.
