APAC Procurement Lead
About the role
The APAC Procurement Lead establishes and leads the regional procurement function across Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore. The role sets procurement governance, creates visibility of addressable spend, leads regional and cross-country sourcing, and strengthens supplier and contract management. Success is measured through stronger compliance, lower supply and commercial risk, improved supplier performance, and validated savings and cost avoidance.
Key responsibilities
Establish APAC procurement governance, policies, controls and minimum standards aligned with Global Procurement and local requirements, while monitoring compliance and acting as the regional escalation point.
Maintain APAC spend and category visibility, develop category strategies, and identify sourcing, aggregation, standardization and supplier consolidation opportunities with Finance and country stakeholders.
Lead or support end-to-end sourcing processes, coordinate stakeholder input, document sourcing decisions, and establish regional or framework agreements where commercially beneficial.
Segment suppliers, define KPIs and scorecards, monitor risks, lead performance reviews and escalations, and track corrective actions to improve supplier value and resilience.
Maintain the APAC contract register, coordinate reviews and approvals, manage renewals, monitor utilization and compliance, and escalate material contract risks or deviations.
Establish procurement reporting standards, dashboards, savings and cost avoidance tracking, and decision-oriented reports to support stakeholder planning and capability building.
About You
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Finance or a related discipline
At least 5 years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience, including regional or multi-country responsibilities within APAC.
Strong experience in category strategy, spend analysis, supplier consolidation, contract lifecycle management and supplier performance and risk management.
Track record of establishing or improving procurement governance, controls and reporting, and delivering measurable savings and cost avoidance.
Strong commercial judgement, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders across different countries and functions.
Advanced Excel and procurement analytics capability; experience with ERP, contract management or spend analytics platforms is an advantage.
Comfortable operating independently in a developing regional procurement environment, and willing to travel within APAC if required.
