This is an on-site hybrid role based out of Shanghai.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Supply Chain for the APAC region, this role strategically manages a commodity group (Machined Components, Shaft, Stamping, Fabrication, Bearing) across three RRX segments. The position leads the regional category team, collaborating with segment and global teams, product leaders, operations, and other stakeholders to deploy value-driven, sustainable supply chain strategies. It also partners with regional supply chain, plant, and corporate leaders to develop strategic plans and support objectives that enhance Regal Rexnord’s overall performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• For three segments, develop and drive category strategy, including developing strategic sourcing partnerships, leading negotiations, and strategy implementation.
• Lead a group of category managers to manage Machined Components, Shaft, Stamping, Fabrication and Bearing.
• Manage team with defined scope and key measures; provide guidance and leadership to team members.

Leading Category group to achieve the following goals across all categories:

• Supplier management strategy including supplier development, supply base consolidation, cost reduction roadmaps and implementation of supplier segmentation plan.
• Partner with the business segments and influence the strategic direction of the category strategy, including design criteria, and directed sourcing requirements (Tier 2/Tier 3).
• Lead effort to achieve and maintain alignment in the value chain between the suppliers, and the end customer in all forms, fit, function, price and delivery requirements.
• Strategically supports divisions within the larger function of global supply chain.
• Manage, track, and report key drivers, market trends from a historical and forecasting perspective.
• Establish and implement countermeasures to compensate for negative performance and market trends.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the category total cost, including an integrated view of tooling and component costs as a part of the category strategy.
• Partner with the operational purchasing teams to ensure period-over-period process improvements.
• Drives innovation and a focus on continuous improvement within the supply chain organization.
• Responsible for timely reporting to agreed-on KPIs and presents strategic sourcing plans, activities and successes to the Senior Leadership Team.

• BA or BS degree required, preferably in Supply Chain/Operations management. Master’s Degree/MBA desired.
• Minimum of 15 years of direct supply chain, operations, or related experience, with several years being in category management or procurement. Team management experience is a plus.
• Deep industry expertise in mechanical parts, including roles in sourcing/supply chain, managing a diverse set of suppliers in those fields.
• Deep understanding of mechanical parts supply base, cost drivers, market dynamics, and cost management/reduction strategies.
• Experience with direct material sourcing on a global scale, with multi-tier supplier relationship management.
• Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to use a structured approach to understand, analyze and solve complex problems / issues.
• Ability to develop working partnerships with senior executives across the business and to challenge and influence them to create change.
• Cross-functional / cross-departmental outlook, working across a decentralized organization.
• Strong written communication and excellent oral presentation skills, and the ability to present convincingly at senior levels.

Travel: Approximately 40% travel, including international
