Apparel Supervisor I (3008)
Summary:
The Apparel Supervisor Level I supervises and coordinates the activities of sewing machine operators assembling articles. This position carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures that daily production quotas are met.
- Ensures that quality products are produced.
- Completes documentation and reports as outlined in the quality assurance plan. This includes attendance, payroll, and production reports.
- Reports production and mechanical issues to the Supervisor.
- Attends training meetings as assigned.
- Meets the 3-hour per year requirement of training/staff development.
- Utilizes a teamwork approach for all projects.
- Supports ISO-9000 and Quality Management Systems requirements.
- Promote vision, value, culture, and commitment to excellent customer service to all customers and stakeholders.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Assists with training people with or without disabilities as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises workers/participants in the Apparel Department.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
