Application Analyst - Java, DevOps & BMC Helix
Summary
Analyze user needs and design Java-based applications using BMC Helix, REST/SOAP APIs, and DevOps practices to build and maintain enterprise systems.
Role:
• Gather and analyse user requirements, then translate them into clear application specifications.
• Analyse, design, test, implement, and maintain application systems and web-based applications.
• Work independently to gather requirements from users and convert them into technical solutions.
• Support full Software Development Life Cycle from initiation to deployment.
• Prepare low-level design docs and follow best practices development guidelines.
• Translate customer requirements into system, application, and process designs.
Requirements:
• Has 5+ years experience in systems analysis, design including database design, development, implementation, and QA.
• Helix Platform experience is a must:
o BMC Helix Innovation Suite and Remedy AR System: design, develop, customize applications and workflows.
o BMC Remedy Developer Studio, Pentaho for workflows, forms, templates, and integrations
o Helix iPaaS, REST/SOAP APIs for integrations with external systems
o CMDB: build/enhance classes, relationships, datasets, reconciliation rules, and discovery integrations
o Strong Java programming skills.
• Good communication, project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Vendor management experience.
• Technical Skills Required
o Programming Languages: Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XMLBash/Shell scripting.
o IDEs & Dev Tools: Eclipse, Web Integrated Development Environment.
o Web & Architecture: Web Services: REST, SOAP, WSRP, Service Oriented Architecture, Responsive Web Design, Rules Engines, SAM
o Environments / OS: Linux, Red Hat Linux, Unix, Windows / Windows Server
o Object Oriented Analysis and Design
o Java technologies
o Exposure to DevOps practices
