Application Architect-M224H08

The Application Architect supports critical phases of a project life cycle including requirement review, analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of API solutions. This role develops and maintains a level of knowledge and expertise related to Added Value Services, products and applications to help support enterprise needs.

· Designs, develops, tests and implements enterprise level services including client, server and middleware including the design and development of algorithms and data structures.

· Creates software design at the component level based on SAP’s application architecture and detailed business requirements.

· Assists with the translation of logical data design to physical database design.

· Develops strategies for monitoring, preventive maintenance and disaster recovery of complex applications.

· Serves as technical expert in one or more applications within a portfolio.

· Assures that solution designs meet requirements for scalability, performance and quality in accordance with negotiated service level agreements.

· Participates in the assessment and resolution of complex software defects.

· Assists project management with the development of work breakdown structures, project plans and skills required to develop and implement applications.

· Participates in design reviews for implementation projects.

· Conducts technical evaluations.

· Leads the review, business case development and implementation of software development tools, methodology and software development standards.

· Understands and complies with security measures and current standards, practices and technology.

· Assists with evaluation and recommendations regarding purchased software packages and supporting services.

· Develops applications to critical business processes and projects and supports production issues that result from enhancements and special projects.

· Verifies that configuration and applications are properly tested and provides consulting service and assistance to other departments for all necessary testing and integration.
