Application Architect (Onsite - Fredericton)
We are seeking an Application Architect to support a public sector health system's digital health modernization initiative. This role will focus on enhancing the stability, resilience, and fault tolerance of the eHealth platform and its components while aligning with strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing strategies, models, and work plans that strengthen the platform's architecture, providing technical direction to staff and consultants, and ensuring technology solutions meet evolving business needs across the health sector.
This position requires someone who can research, design, and develop comprehensive solution architectures to support a complex portfolio of health care applications and integration engines. The role will involve providing direction and guidance on technical design and development methods, overseeing the development and maintenance of solution design documents, planning and forecasting for system needs and development initiatives, and working with multiple stakeholders including business teams, project managers, application support teams, database administrators, and vendors. The successful candidate will monitor and optimize platform performance, develop implementation and migration strategies, provide support for development and production environments, and deliver proof of concepts for recommended solutions. Regular status reporting to management and participation in team activities will be required, along with after-hours support as needed.

- 20+ years - Information Technology and IT experience
- 15+ years - Senior Programmer Analyst role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- 15+ years - Provincial health care and Electronic Health Records applications experience in a Canadian context
- 15+ years - Developing, documenting, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions to meet business requirements
- 10+ years - Rhapsody Integration engines
- 9+ years - Orion Health Platform
- 15+ years - Microsoft SQL Server
- 15+ years - JAVA and JavaScript
- 9+ years - EMPI tools such as Initiate and Infosphere
- 15+ years - Oracle
Nice to Have
